The department of Hospitality has been conducting a career fair since the early 1990s. The career fair is always held on the first Tuesday in February and was branded as Connect 2 Careers (C2C) in 2012. The career fair traditionally attracts in excess of 55 employers from across Canada and in upwards of 800 students attend. Connect 2 Careers is the largest generator of co-op placements on campus with more than 350 students obtaining jobs on event day.
Connect 2 Careers job fair opens its doors at 11am. The recruiters are given space to not only showcase their properties but interview the students at the same time. This highly successful event is strongly regarded by our recruiters as “the most professional event” that they attend. Our students are prepared through resume workshops, decorum education and faculty support to ensure our students are chosen first amongst our competitors.
