Executive Committee

Connect 2 Careers is an event run by students for students. An executive committee of students from numerous Georgian College programs orchestrates the entire event from start to finish. Alumni and faculty further support the committee as a method to ensure continuity as the event evolves from year to year.

Samantha Rockett
Executive Lead
Samantha Rockett is currently in the Hospitality Management: Hotel and Resort Program program to receive her graduate certificate this school year. Years previous, she has worked multiple hospitality companies such as banquet serving and catering to gain more experience in the field. She graduated from high school with honors and a Specialist High Skills Major in Hospitality. What Samantha brings to the table is her time management skills, look and evaluate all angles in a given situation and is able to work under pressure when a problem may arise. She believes that working in the Event and Hospitality Industry is all about being able to create a lasting impression and to be aware of any opportunities that may result in any relationship. Samantha would like to expand her knowledge in the Industry and being able to work in events. Being able to change, grow and listen is what Samantha thinks is important, among other aspects of the industry, to make her a successful manager.
